The festive season is upon us! And every year, without fail, it sneaks up on me, even for the best of planners. Although, in saying that, we did just 'trim' our Christmas tree, a little early—I know. My oldest was too excited (me also), and after a glance at the calendar, scheduling the time becomes quite the challenge. 😁 We also secured our first family Santa photo slot - you gotta get in early at our shopping centre. Over the next few issues, I'm here to inspire you with some delicious festive recipes, kicking things off with today's feature: Romesco with Lemon & Fresh Oregano Pan-fried Prawns.

🍤 Romesco with Lemon & Fresh Oregano Pan-fried Prawns
Here’s the perfect starter for your next dinner party or barbecue. This dish looks impressive but requires minimal effort. To make the romesco you simply combine all the ingredients in a food processor. And, If you're hosting a BBQ, I would 100% grill the prawns on the barbecue instead of pan-frying them for that ultimate charred and smoky flavour.

They're probably my favourite side dish, and bonus points for being so quick and easy to make. |
We just put up our Christmas tree 🎄 and this is the playlist shuffle we had on in the background (love the vintage recordings).
"Artichoke to Zucchini" by Alice Oehr. This new children's book about food is on my Christmas list for the kids. We also LOVE her other books "Lunch at 10 Pomegranate Street" and "A Year in Fleurville" - beautiful gifts if you have little ones in your life.
